5th Annual “This is Not an MCS Sponsored Event” Pub Crawl
Saturday 9-24-05, 10:30 a.m.

1. Backdoor Lounge
(1112 Firehouse Alley in Old Sac)
for breakfast/bloody mary

2. O’Malley’s Irish Pub
(1109 2nd St in Old Sac)
“A pint of Guinness please kind Sir”

3. River City Brewing Company
(545 “K” Street in Downtown Plaza Mall)
a new stop on the crawl.

4. Henry’s
(1117 9th Street - on 9th between K & L Streets)
a gem of a dive bar and I mean DIVE! But they fill the glasses and the pitcher.

5. Marilyn’s
(a remodeled & relocated pub crawl regular – great Juke Box selection): exact address TBD. Reopening Sept 10th & new locale is believed to be near 10th & “K”

6. Pyramid Brewing Company
(corner of 11th and “K” Street)
have a beer underneath the shadow of the downtown Cathedral

7. Capitol Garage
(near 15th & “K”)
another relocated pub crawl site.

8. Brew It Up
(corner of 14th and “H” Street)
another microbrew stop. If you’re a hophead, their IPA is awesome.

9. Torch Club
(On 15th Street between “I” and “J”)
a Sacramento landmark for Blues and quirky paintings and pictures of clowns, boxers, and horses. A pub crawl tradition for years. Known for their stiff drinks.

10. Streets of London
(On “J” Street near 18th Street)
a British pub with a bit of merry old England right here in River City. Could have the best juke box of all of the crawl stops.

11. The Distillery
(21st and “L” Street)
an aging Sacramento watering hole that has even stiffer drinks than the Torch Club.

12. Press Club
(21st and “P” Street)
another traditional crawl stop. This place doesn’t believe in lights; you can barely see what you’re drinking. Definitely the darkest bar on the pub crawl tour.

13. Old Town Tavern
(20th Street between “N” and “O” Streets)
a favorite haunt of A. Ratty.

14. Round Corner
(2333 “S” Street)
Last Call! This is the last stop. The Round Corner is a pub crawl mainstay and favorite neighborhood bar of many crawlers. Check out the historical picture of the crashed vehicle stuck in the building’s entrance. Pool table and a good juke box.

Note: There could be impromptu stops at other locations on the way and there is no guarantee that we will frequent all of the stops listed above, although we will definitely try. The only rule of this pub crawl is to have fun and consuming 1 drink per stop is highly recommended.
